Weddings

In marriage couples ask God to bless their union and for help in their new life together. Within the wider community of family and friends they make promises to each other and a ring or rings are given and received.

To book a wedding at St. Mary's, or one of it's daughter churches of St. Faith or St. Wilfrid please call into St. Mary's church office on a Wednesday evening between 6.00p.m. and 7.00p.m.. Marriage preparation classes are held twice a year and couples are invited to attend these sessions before their marriage date.

If either or both of you live outside the parish of St. Mary Portsea you will need to discuss with the office staff the steps for arranging your wedding at St. Mary's.
