SUMMARY:Christmas Carols and Music
DESCRIPTION:Join the Portsmouth Choral Union\, Hampshire County Youth Orchestra\, and their conductor for the evening\, David Gostick\, for a spectacular night of festive music with over 100 talented young people. With carols for everyone to sing\, this will certainly raise the roof!  Tickets can be booked in advance online at the Portsmouth Choral Union’s website\, or can be payed for exclusively by card payments at the door.  Tickets cost £15 for adults and £2 for children. \nA special feature of this concert will be an almost unknown work by a very well known composer. Very few people will have heard Max Bruch’s Christmas Cantata ‘Gruss an die Heilige Nacht’ – this atmospheric work has all the hallmarks of Bruch’s style\, with rich harmonies\, varied orchestration and long breathed Romantic melodies.  It will be great to hear the choir and orchestra will join together for this rarely heard work! \n\n \n
