SUMMARY:Friends of St Mary's AGM
DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite you to become a member of the ‘Friends of St Mary’s.’ The Friends support the young people of the Parish\, those exploring their faith\, our baptism and confirmation candidates\, those getting married and ensure that the events in the life of the parish are promoted\, displayed and recorded as part of our witness to those who come into our churches.  \nOver the years The Friends has supported the two churches in the Parish to carry out its rich and diverse ministry and mission in many ways including:\n– Welcome in our Churches: The Friends have funded the informative notice-boards outside the church and paid for the development of the colourful photos that have been a magnet for visitors and our congregation over the years\, as well as being a wonderful visual record of the wide-ranging Parish events.\n– Baptism and Confirmation candidates and those married within the Parish – providing gifts such as Gospel books\, Baptism Certificates leaflets and Godparents cards.\n– St Mary’s Church Choir – The Friends continue to support our talented choir at St Mary’s including the purchase of music\, workbooks and storage boxes.\n– Young people of the Parish – supporting our Young Churches and welcoming our children and young people through the continued development of the children’s corners in both churches.\n– Other worthy projects that support the maintenance and development of St Mary’s ministry and mission. \nWe would like to invite you to become become a member through a suggested donation of  £10 a year per person\, or as much as you can manage according to your means. Cash or cheques made payable to ‘The Friends of St Mary’s’ can be accepted or do contact us if you would prefer to pay by BACS.  Please complete this reply slip and return with your donation.
