SUMMARY:Outdoor Parish Mass & Celebration of Cycling
DESCRIPTION:As part of our Patronal Celebrations\, where we give thanks for the parish and all who live and work here\, we will be holding an Outdoor Parish Mass in St Mary’s Church at 10am. \nFollowing this\, there will be a Celebration of Cycling\, where we will be celebrating cycling in the city with music and entertainment from Drumnation and our local Morris Dancers\, arts and crafts activities\, and a community picnic (please bring your own lunch). There will also be more opportunities to find out more about cycling in Portsmouth\, free repairs for any bicycles in need\, and lessons for those who may feel rusty on two wheels. To finish\, there will be a churchyard cycle at 2pm\, so please bring your bike if possible! \nFinally\, the church tower will then be open for visitors from 2-4pm. \nTo watch the service\, you can go to our YouTube stream\, or our Facebook page. \nTo follow along\, you can find the order of service here. \nTerms and conditions for climbing St Mary’s Tower:\n•	Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.\n•	No children under the age of 5yrs or under 1m tall allowed to climb the tower.\n•	No opened toed shoes\, sandals or flip flops.\n•	Please follow all instructions from our volunteers\, the stairs are too steep & narrow for two-way traffic. Give space to others to avoid tripping.\n•	The tower may need to close at short notice due to adverse weather conditions.\n•	The clergy hold the right to refuse anyone access to the tower if persons are deemed unsafe or not fit to climb.\n•	The church will not take any responsibility for any accident\, injury\, or theft on our premises. Enjoy yourself but be vigilant at all times. You climb at your own risk.\n•	Persons with heart conditions or pre-existing medical conditions\, mobility difficulties or any condition where the effort of climbing is considered hazardous should refrain from attempting this climb. You are required to exercise due care & attention during your visit. \n \n
