SUMMARY:Strawberry Tea & St Mary's Tower Opening
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a summer’s afternoon filled with live music\, strawberry tea\, and community. \nThere will also be the opportunity to climb our tower\, which provides a tour around our iconic belfry and a unique 167-feet view across Portsmouth. \nTours of the tower and live music are entirely FREE\, although terms and conditions apply to climbing the tower (see below). The Strawberry Tea costs £4.50\, tickets are available in church or through 02392 822 990 or officeassistant@portseaparish.co.uk \nTerms and conditions for climbing the tower:\n– Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times\n– No children under the age of 5 years or under 1 metre tall are allowed to climb the tower\n– No open-toed shoes\, sandals or flip flops are allowed\n– You must follow all the instructions from our volunteers\, who will be preventing two-way traffic on the steep and narrow stairs. Please give space to other people to avoid tripping\n– The tower may need to close at short notice due to adverse weather conditions\n– The clergy hold the right to refuse anyone access to the tower if persons are deemed unsafe or not fit to climb\n– The church will not take any responsibility for any accident\, injury\, or theft on our premises.  Enjoy yourself\, but please be vigilant at all times; you climb at your own risk\n– Persons with heart conditions or pre-existing medical conditions\, mobility difficulties or any condition where the effort of climbing is considered hazardous should refrain from attempting this climb. You are required to exercise due care & attention during your visit. \n \n
