SUMMARY:Music for a Summer Afternoon\, Strawberry Tea & Tower Open at St Mary's
DESCRIPTION:From 1:30 pm until 4 pm Music in the Church Yard\nThe Music Foundation present Music for a Summer Afternoon.  A selection of musicians perform works in the Church yard including brass music\, choral music and other instrumentalists.  The concert is free with a chance to give a donation towards the work of the St Mary’s Music Foundation charity which seeks to inspire local young people and support them in developing their musical skills. \nMusic in the Church Yard and Strawberry Tea  \nFrom 2:30 pm until 4 pm Strawberry Tea and Tower Open\nEnjoy a Strawberry Tea in the Church grounds while listening to the musical offerings\, available from 2:30pm.  And for the brave\, enjoy the opportunity to climb the Church Tower for stunning views of the city and the church interior.  Tickets cost £4 (available in advance from 023 9281 4444).  Last admission for the tower is 3:30pm. \nA Strawberry Tea  \nTerms and conditions for Climbing St Mary’s Tower:\nDo’s and don’ts: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times; No children under the age of 5yrs or under 1mtr tall allowed to climb the tower; No babies to be carried in arms or in slings etc; No opened toed shoes\, sandals or flip flops; Please follow all instructions from our volunteers\, the stairs are too steep & narrow for two-way traffic. Give space to others to avoid tripping.\nHealth Advice: If you are pregnant; Have a heart complaint; Breathing problems e.g. asthma; Fear of heights; Fear of open stairs; Or any other condition which might be made worse by climbing the tower\, we advise that you enjoy the ground floor of our beautiful church instead.\n* The clergy hold the right to refuse anyone access to the tower if persons are deemed unsafe or not fit to climb. The church will not take any responsibility for any accident\, injury or theft on our premises. Enjoy yourself but be vigilant at all times. You climb at your own risk.\n
