Music Foundation Concert: William Saunders Organ Recital

Fratton Together’s Big Lunch Community Picnic
Help us come together as the community of Fratton for a Big Lunch Picnic (bring your own food), organised by Fratton Together. As well as the chance to sit and eat together, there will be activities, live music, and a craft workshop. We will also be presenting the Fratton Awards to local members of our community who have made a difference to life in Fratton and Portsmouth!

Organ Heritage Workshop – St Mary’s Music & Heritage Festival
Explore how St Mary’s historic organ works in a family-friendly workshop. Activities will include a live demonstration of the organ’s range and an opportunity to play the organ through a virtual keyboard.
Hägersten Chamber Choir – St Mary’s Music & Heritage Festival
We are excited to welcome Hägersten Chamber Choir to St Mary’s as part of our Music & Heritage Festival. From Stockholm, Sweden, the group will provide a programme of the most beloved Scandinavian choral pieces. This concert is FREE. There will be an optional collection at the end to support St Mary’s Music Foundation, which provides young people in our community with a musical education. Strawberry Tea & St Mary’s Tower Opening
Join us for a summer’s afternoon filled with live music, strawberry tea, and community. There will also be the opportunity to climb our tower, which provides a tour around our iconic belfry and a unique 167-feet view across Portsmouth. Explore how we run the race of life in a morning of family-friendly activities. Messy Harvest
Join us for a family-friendly morning exploring God’s creation through music, art, craft, and play. This session will recall the story of the miraculous feeding of the 5,000 with five loaves and two fish; reminding us of God’s ability to use the gifts we offer him, no matter how small they are. Activities will include making picnic baskets, bracelets, and prayer leaves, and playing conkers!
Harvest Thanksgiving Service & Barn Dance
Join us as we give thanks for the food that has been provided to us and share that gift with those who are less fortunate. St Mary’s Autumn Fair
Come along to our Autumn Fair, filled with books, jewellery, crafts, toys, baked goods, and more! You’ll also be able to take part in the raffle, sit down for some refreshments, and say hello to our friendly volunteers. On top of giving you the chance to find unique items at bargain prices, the proceeds of our stalls help us to continue our work in and around Fratton and the wider Portsmouth community.
Requiem Mass for All Souls

Fratton Together’s Festival of Lights
As part of Fratton Together’s 12th annual Festival of Lights, there will be a parade down Fratton Road on 14 November, starting from behind the Victory Business Centre (PO1 1PJ) at 7pm and finishing at St Mary’s Church. In collaboration with the Medici Choir, the Portsmouth Choral Union will be be performing Finzi’s ‘Intimations of Immortality’, Elgar’s ‘Cello Concerto’ and Vaughan Williams’ ‘Towards the Unknown Region’. Messy Advent
Join us for a free, family-friendly morning of crafts, activities, songs, and stories as we celebrate the coming of Jesus, God’s greatest gift to the world. Activities will include wreath-making, angel decorating, making Christmas cards and lanterns, and a hunt for the wise men’s three gifts. Registration will begin at 9:45am, with activities taking place between 10 and 11:15am, before concluding stories, songs and prayers.
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra: Serenades and Starbursts
Join the 19-piece Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Strings Ensemble for a concert that will pull at your heartstrings and satisfy any curious soul.
