Palm Procession from St Wilfrid’s to St Mary’s
Join us in walking through the streets with music and singing as we remember the journey Jesus made to Jerusalem on the first Palm Sunday. Followed by Parish Mass at St Mary’s at 10am. There will be no Mass at St Faith’s nor St Wilfrid’s that Sunday. #LentPilgrim

The St Mary’s May Fayre
The Annual Community Fayre & celebration of life in Fratton is held in the church & grounds each May Bank Holiday Monday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Each year around 10,000 visitors enjoy this event with its variety of attractions – Real Ale Tent; Arena displays; Morris dancers; Bouncy Castle; Bands; Funfair rides & much more. A fun seasonal variation on a Beetle Drive. Pay on the door. £2.50 each. All takings will go to Christian Aid.

Love Our Oceans / Messy Blue at St Mary’s
Free climate change event, 10am – 12pm, with lots of activities for children and lots for adults too! Displays by Greenpeace, Christian Aid, Fairtrade and many others. Speakers from A Rocha and Wildlife Trust including Meric Srokosz of the National Oceanography Centre and author of “Blue Planet, Blue God”. Please bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the church grounds at 12 o’clock.
Music for a Summer Afternoon, Strawberry Tea & Tower Open at St Mary’s
From 1:30 pm until 4 pm Music in the Church Yard The Music Foundation present Music for a Summer Afternoon. A selection of musicians perform works in the Church yard including brass music, choral music and other instrumentalists. The concert is free with a chance to give a donation towards the work of the St Mary’s Music Foundation charity which seeks to inspire local young people and support them in developing their musical skills. St Mary’s Church Patronal Mass
As we celebrate a special day in the life of St Mary’s Church we welcome as our Preacher – Very Revd Anthony Cane, The Dean of Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral. The service is followed by a Parish BBQ at noon.

A service to celebrate the “Light to lighten the Nations”. At St Mary’s the quest preacher is Revd Sally Davenport, Holy Trinity Fareham.
