In marriage couples ask God to bless their union and for help in their new life together. Within the wider community of family and friends they make promises to each other and a ring or rings are given and received.

How to book

To book a wedding at St. Mary’s, or one of its daughter churches of St. Faith or St. Wilfrid please call into our Just Ask sessions on a Saturday morning between 10.00a.m. and 11.00a.m., where you can speak to a member of our ministry team.

If you would like to make a wedding enquiry or booking, then please complete the Wedding Welcome form and either email this to office@portseaparish.co.uk or print and bring along with you to a Just Ask session.

Marriage preparation classes are held twice a year and couples are invited to attend these sessions before their marriage date.
