Katrina Nimmo (Soprano) at St Mary’s
A free concert with retiring collection in aid of the Music Foundation given by Katrina Nimmo Soprano, accompanied by Brian Moles. Katrina’s program will include : Je veux vivre – Gounod, Romeo et Juliette. Drei Ellensgesaenger – Schubert. A selection of songs by Robert Burns: Whistle and I’ll Come Tae Ye; My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose; Ye Banks and Braes; The Diel’s Awa’. Time to Say Goodbye – Quarantotto/Sartori. Concert lasts approximately an hour. Refreshments provided.

Beechwood Opera present ‘Mozart a Return to Opera’ at St Mary’s
Mozart’s obsession with opera pervades all his mature works – especially those included in this concert. From the characterful opposition of piano, winds, and strings in his Piano Concerto no.22 it is clear that, having written just one opera in the past four years, something was brewing. Vaughan Williams – A Sea Symphony & Elgar – Enigma Variations at St Mary’s
Two of the greatest works of the English symphonic tradition side by side. The choir will be on their top form, having recently performed A Sea Symphony on tour in Germany. Conductor: David Gostick. Parish Mass at St Mary’s
There is a Mass at St Mary’s for the whole Parish this Sunday to say farewell to Wendy-May as she takes up her curacy in Fareham. There will be no mass at St Faith’s nor at St Wilfrid’s. At noon there is The Great Get Together Picnic in Kingston Rec and celebration of the new play area. It starts with a procession from the Fratton Community Centre.

Mothers Union Concert at St Wilfrid’s
A concert of popular music given by Becki Short. She will sing songs from the shows, popular classics and lead a 40s sing-along. Tickets are £2.50 which includes refreshments. Money raised will go to help the work of AFIA (Away from it All) and the Parish Mothers Union.

African Women’s Forum is hosting this Community Picnic, diverse food, and African cultural performances at St Mary’s in the Church yard. Mass & Charity Lunch at St Mary’s
A chance to enjoy a light lunch. The money raised will be used to support a charity. The lunch usually consists of soup (with a vegetarian option), a bread and cheese main with a pudding to follow. The lunch costs £2.50 and includes free entry into a raffle.
