CANCELLED: The Royal Marines School of Music’s Concert
Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. The annual Christmas Concert held by The Royal Marines School of Music in their 2022/23 season of concerts. Tickets are available at the door, or you can telephone the Royal Marines School of Music Office to book tickets on 02392 726181.
Churches Homeless Action Carols
A celebration of Christmas and the distribution of vouchers collected via local churches & groups to agencies who will be supporting those in need over the Christmas season. A chance for us to share a ‘gift’ with others, this year being the 20th year of our Comfort and Joy campaign!
Reindeer Drive
A beetle drive with a seasonal difference to raise funds for Hope into Action. Tickets cost £2.50.

A Blue Christmas
Blue Christmas offers a simple, quiet service, with readings and carols. This is an opportunity for anyone who wants space to sit and be, acknowledging the pain and emptiness that many can feel at this time of year. There will be an opportunity to talk to others over refreshments afterwards.
The Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols
A traditional telling of the Christmas story through readings and carols sung by the congregation and choir, followed by sherry and mince pies. You can follow our streams either on either YouTube or our Facebook page. You can follow along here.
Nativity Service
The Christmas story is told by the parish’s children and young people, as we celebrate the sharing of the greatest gift.

Portsea Parish Panto: Little Red Riding Hood
Come and enjoy Little Red Riding Hood, a traditional panto, performed by members of the Parish, including the clergy! There will be a matinee showing at 2.30pm and an evening performance at 7pm. A family ticket, for 2 adults and 2 children, costs £10, an adult’s ticket costs £4, and tickets for those under 16 costs £2. May 2023
St Mary’s May Fayre
A celebration of life in Fratton, the May Fayre sees around 10,000 visitors come to the church and grounds to enjoy the community and the variety of activities available, including a real ale tent, arena displays, a bouncy castle, bands, funfair rides, and over 100 stalls. If you would like to book a place for your stall, please contact mayfayre@portseaparish.co.uk or call into the church between 9am and 12pm. Pitches are £40, with a reduced rate for charity.
