The Organ Project: Organ Recital given by Joel Colyer
Our 2021 Organ Recital series concludes with a recital given by Joel Colyer, Organ Scholar at Portsmouth Cathedral. No booking is required for free entry, with an offer of refreshments, including wine. Joel Colyer was born in Manchester in 2003 and lived there for 18 years before taking up the organ scholarship at Portsmouth Cathedral in September 2021. Messy Advent

Churches Homeless Action Carols
A celebration of Christmas and a distribution of vouchers, collected via local Churches and groups, to agencies who will be supporting those in need over the Christmas season. Portsmouth Film Society presents Soul
Portsmouth Film Society will be hosting a screening of the Pixar’s animated film Soul (2020): Just when Joe thinks his dream might be in reach, a single unexpected step sends him to a fantastical place where he’s forced to think again about what it truly means to have soul. Portsmouth Film Society presents Miracle on 34th Street
Portsmouth Film Society will be hosting a screening of the Christmas classic Miracle on 34th Street (1947): In this Christmas classic, an old man going by the name of Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) fills in for an intoxicated Santa in Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day parade. Kringle proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the chain’s main store in midtown Manhattan. A Coffee Morning for Valentine’s Season
An opportunity to raise some funds for Christian Aid in place of the cancelled Reindeer Drive, and to welcome those preparing for their weddings at St Mary’s this year. The morning will also provide an opportunity to have some of the famous bacon butties from St Faiths!

Shrove Tuesday Celebrations
We welcome Fr Rajiv Sidhu as a curate with a special service, followed by pancake races, Caribbean food, and a quiz. If you would like to join us for any or all of these parts, please contact vicar@portseaparish.co.uk. The food will cost £3 per person, and to join in with the quiz will cost £2. Sherlock Holmes & the Mystery of the Panto!

Reflections on and the Liturgy of the Cross
You are invited to join Christians throughout the world as we gather at the foot of the Cross and pray for our world and ourselves.
